چکیده

The seceder model is an extremely simple individual based model which shows how the local tendency to be different gives rise to the formation of hierarchically structured groups, called the seceder effect. The model consists of a population of simple entities which reproduce and die. In a single reproduction event three individuals are chosen randomly and the individual which possesses the largest distance to their mean is reproduced by creating a mutated copy (offspring). The offspring replaces a randomly chosen individual of the population. In this contribution we investigate the effective fitness landscape of the seceder model. Fitness is measured as reproductive success. The investigation of the fitness landscape revealed an on the first view counterintuitive phenomena: The individuals of the basic seceder model are always located in the worst regions of the fitness landscape where the replication rate is relatively low.

ارزیابی مدل های پارامتریک و نیمه پارامتریک در تحلیل بقای بیماران مبتلا به سرطان معده

Background and purpose: One of the most common methods used to estimate the effects of explanatory variables on survival time, is Cox semi parametric model. However, under certain circumstances, accelerated failure time parametric models are superior to the Cox model. The purpose of this study was to assess the efficiency of parametric and semi-parametric models in survival analysis of patients...

Using the Component Model of Sustainable Landscape for the Quality Assessment of Urban Natural Public Spaces: A Case Study from Tehran’s River-valleys

Ecological destruction in human-dominated landscapes has significant impacts on environment sustainability internationally. Landscape planning can play a role in mitigating the effects of human-related activities. One element of landscape planning involves the analysis of the biological, spatial and social arrangement of areas in an urban environment and identifying characteristics that are und...
